The Edmonton storm is a women’s football Edmonton team formed by two ladies with great passion and interest towards football and the game. The Edmonton Storm started with the vision of two women who inspired others to pursuer the same dream. Our goal is to generate even greater interest in Women’s Tackle Football throughout Alberta and watch the League grow in strength, numbers and skill. Females across Canada were inspired by the first ever Canadian National Female Tackle Football Team. National teams from across the world met and took it to the turf in Stockholm, Sweden in July 2010. Countries represented were: Canada, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Austria, and the United States. Canada brought home silver placing second in the tournament. We are proud of all members of our Canadian National Team and a special mention to the 6 members selected from the Edmonton Storm.
